Things I’ve Learned This Week

** Supervising a chain gang would be more enjoyable than supervising homework.

** The world needs a whole lot more Tina Fey & Amy Poehler.

** My toes are really missing the ol’ flip flops.

** Trusting my son to use the Kindle for reading purposes is like trusting my husband to use the hamper for dirty clothes purposes.

** The days of me being able to sleep through World War III are long, long gone.  Hello, drop of a hat!

** Even though they’re addictively delicious, I’m beyond grateful that we don’t have to pimp out Girl Scout cookies anymore.

** Deodorant should really be a requirement at the gym.

** I could open a sock museum with all the random ones I’ve found lying around our house.

** Unpacking your suitcase just to repack it again sorta kinda sucks.

** Nine good movies were nominated for Academy Awards, which means there are nine good movies that I’ve yet to see.

** The recorder is not an instrument.  It’s a torture device.

** Despite what I might think, God does not give me more than I can handle.

Don’t bother seeing “Wolf of Wall Street” unless you want to hear “fuck” over 500 times, see people acting like fools over money, lots and lots of drug scenes and it goes on for 3 hours. It’s not like I didn’t have a spell in my life ( hello ’80’s) that was like that, but it was just ttttooooo much. I can’t even believe it was nominated. If you have to see it, wait for Netflix or cable.

Just found your blog, and love it. By the way, I’m happy to trade you flip flops for some snow – I’ve about had it with the heat (and humidity) down here 😉
